NCCAOM Certified

A Diplomate of Acupuncture is an acupuncturist who is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM®). It is a considerable professional achievement to earn the designation Diplomate of Acupuncture (NCCAOM). NCCAOM certification indicates to employers, patients, and peers that one has met national standards for the safe and competent practice of acupuncture as defined by the acupuncture and Oriental medicine (AOM) profession. Certified Acupuncture Point Injection Therapy (APIT)

APIT uses injection of sterilized homeopathic and Chinese herbal remedies into specific acupuncture points. In Chinese medicine, acupuncture points are theorized to lie along various meridians. These meridians have functional relationships with blood and energy flow in the body. In other words, these meridians connect and integrate one region of the body with another. Stimulating acupuncture points with an acupuncture needle can have certain therapeutic results; Acupuncture Point Injection Therapy combines the therapeutic actions of the injectable natural solutions with the therapeutic regulating principles of acupuncture, for heightened effectiveness.
